Wimberley, Texas is centrally located in the hill country and full of natural swimming holes. In addition, it is located about 45 minutes from Austin and 1 hour from San Antonio. We searched for somewhere to stay and found The Lazy Lavender located 10-15 minutes from town.
The Lazy Lavender has two beautiful properties, and more in the works, so stay tuned! Choose a stay from the Lazy Lavender House which sleeps 2-6 guests or the Lazy Lavender Cottage which sleeps 2-4 guests.
Thanks for hosting us The Lazy Lavender and as always all opinions are my own.

We stayed at the Lazy Lavender House and absolutely loved all of the thoughtful details. From the tile and seating on the front porch perfect for having your morning coffee, to the back porch complete with a swing, dining area and lounge area. Not to mention, my favorite part, an outdoor shower!
Overall, I love that there is so much space to hang out outdoors as that is exactly what you want to do in the Texas Hill Country. One morning, we even saw some wild deer hanging out on the other side of the fence! The Lazy Lavender House sleeps 2-6 guests, so bring some friends or family as there are 3 bedrooms and plenty of space for everyone.
It really feels like a home that we didn’t even want to leave! Honestly, you don’t have to as it’s set up with a full kitchen. In addition, the Lazy Lavender house even had all the ingredients for making some s’mores!

Things to do in Wimberley

Blue Hole Regional Park/Mount Old Baldy
Overall, I loved how centrally located Lazy Lavender was. We drove 10+ minutes and we were back in town.
If you are looking for places to eat nearby, I recommend the pizza at Community Pizza & Beer Garden, and the queso fundido at The Leaning Pear.
Then, if you are looking for things to do I recommend the Blue Hole Regional Park, swimming in Jacob’s Well, strolling through the town square, doing a tasting at Wimberley Valley Winery, and hiking up Mount Baldy.
