Work hard
I know some of the most important things for a workation are having reliable Wifi, a place to work, and tons of food options, because how else will you have the energy to get all your work done?
Well, let me tell you that The Ruby Hotel has all of that and more! You have so many options for a working area such as:
- a table and seating area in your room with a view
- a velvet sofa if you want an amazing background for those Zoom calls
- a balcony if you want to enjoy this great weather
- or choose a lounge chair and work by the pool while you get a tan? Multi-tasking at its finest!
The Ruby Hotel also offers:
- contactless check in
- pet friendly rooms, no need to leave your pet at home!
- fitness center
- in room nespresso coffee for those early morning calls
- plush mattress to get a goodnight sleep
- comfortable robes if you don’t feel like getting dressed
Play Hard

After all that hard work, it’s time for some food. I don’t know about you but my favorite time of day is happy hour!
I love that The Ruby Hotel has a bar onsite with amazing cocktails, wine and beer and some light bites for pre-dinner. I highly recommend the burger (which could be dinner), deviled eggs as an appetizer and the “Love Me Tender” cocktail which tastes like a blueberry lemonade. If you like gin, try this drink pictured, “All shook up”. Cheers y’all!
As I previously mentioned, The Ruby Hotel is walking distance to downtown to pick up lunch/breakfast. Two places I recommend within 10 minutes walking distance are Slapbox for some pizza, and Round Rock Donuts for the breakfast of champions, (a Texas sized donut, click here for a video).
The Ruby Hotel also has an amazing pocket guide with numerous recommendations for dining, look out for it in your room!
