Where to stay in Fredericksburg, Texas
I’ve visited Fredericksburg before and my biggest regret each time was not staying close to Main Street. Well I finally found the perfect place to stay at, Fredericksburg Inn & Suites, which is one block away from Main Street and recently renovated.
I stayed two nights and I loved being able to walk 5 minutes to grab some coffee every morning. I also loved just walking down Main Street window shopping and enjoying the Christmas decor.
Keep reading for my review on my recent stay in December. I stayed during the week and it was perfect for less crowds in Fredericksburg. Thanks for hosting me Fredericksburg Inn & Suites. For booking a room check out their website here.

The Rooms
Fredericksburg Inn has over 103 guestrooms. We stayed at one of the recently renovated poolside queen rooms. We had a view of the pool from our room. Which did I mention they have not one but two pools and a hot tub?!?! Don’t forget your bathing suit!
All rooms come with microwaves and mini-refrigerators and in room coffee makers. I loved that the restroom was separated by a barn door and the toilet also had a separate door. And most importantly, the beds were so comfortable!
Just one thing to note, they do control the AC from up front so just give them a call if you have any issues adjusting the temperature from your room.
Oh and yes they are pet friendly! Call them to book one of their pet friendly rooms.

Location
Location, location, location! I can’t say enough about the location of this hotel. We walked to get breakfast, and dinner every day. Although, as I mentioned earlier you do have a coffee maker in your room. Also, due to Covid they provide a grab and go breakfast with cereal, fruit, yogurt, and some packaged pastries. They have some tables outdoors and picnic tables to enjoy your breakfast, and there is also a firepit to stay warm at night.
Also, as we visited in December, we walked to the Christmas lights at Marktplatz, about a 12 min walk, which I highly recommend making a stop at! The lights will be up through January 6th.
Fun Fact, the guitar you see in their lobby is a replica of Willie Nelson’s former guitar and some of the lyrics of one of his songs above the guitar.
Overall, I do wish I had spent some more time at the pool and enjoying the amenities so definitely make some time for this on your itinerary. I feel like two days flew by, so why not stay longer?
